With the fresh, crispness of winter still lingering in the air, there is a hint of Spring on the horizon and the buzz of activity which always accompanies this time of year creating excitement in events all around SEQld.
With a record-breaking number of event bookings for Phoenix through July, it was like floodgates opened with the new financial year and everyone is celebrating in extravagant and exuberant style! With a rush of entertainment requests and last minute bookings coming in from every direction, the Phoenix team were called on to add their special kind of sparkle to dozens of events state-wide this last month.

“Silver Goggles” LED hula-hoop characters
She’s cute & quirky, energetic, effervescent and a super-dooper hula-hooper whiz!
She roves through guests with her Illuminated hula-hoop in metallic silver outfit adding her dose of cyber shenanigans to your event!
Performing as solo, or duo/trio also available!

60’s A-Go-Go
The swinging 60’s is always a popular event theme and recently for a Honda event, a top entertainment agent brought together a range of fabulous 60’s tributes & acts to create a special one-off stage spectacular for the client!
The Phoenix Cotton Candy girls opened the show with their unique hula-hoop routine performing in special new outfits designed especially for the event. In psychedelic colours and with lots of 60’s sass, the show was a delightful way to set the tone for the rest of the night.

Delightful Dancers

Beguiling Geisha Girls & Asian Fusion Human Statues
Created for an members’ dinner at Hope Island Golf Course last month, these classy characters set the scene for the Asian-inspired fine dining & wine experience.
Modern-style Geisha girls greeted guests on arrival, and creating a “buzz” in the main room for dinner was the Phoenix Water fountain statue installation, which also had an Asian twist for the evening.

Stilt Walkers for Festivals & Public Events
Whether it be colourful roving stilt walkers for Springtime festivals or larger-than-life characters to direct your patrons around an event site, Phoenix have an huge range of costumes to choose from.
The Water Maiden with her giant bubbles and Sun Goddess with flowing gown are some of the favourites for standing out in a festival crowd.
The Phoenix 9foot-tall Construction Workers were instrumental in directing foot traffic about the site for a recent community event for the Airport Link Open Day at Hamilton, and keeping everyone entertained throughout the day.

Bollywood Body Artists – Henna & Glitter-style designs
The Hairhouse Warehouse recently celebrated at the Hatt Coolum with a Bollywood Extravaganza, and the Phoenix Body Artists were booked to provide guests with Henna and Glitter-style decorations.
The versatility of the artists meant that even guests who had to work the next day (and felt that the henna tattoos might not be suitable) were able to get involved with the Glittering Bollywood BodyArt experience.

Perhaps at a slight advantage with their long legs, the larger than life Phoenix stilt walkers will be entertaining participants in the Gladstone Botanic to Bridge FunRun this coming weekend… with a range of nature-inspired costumes including the Water Maiden, Rainforest Diva, Sun Goddess and Dreamweaver, Gladstone is in for some great visual & interactive entertainment as they get out in the fresh spring weather!
